Ingredients ½ 1× 2× 3×

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 2 eggs, yolks and whites separated
• 1¾ cups warm milk
• ⅓ cup melted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla
• Chocolate hazelnut spread, strawberries and banana to serve

Instructions

1. In a bowl mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
2. In another bowl mix the egg yolks, milk, melted butter and vanilla
3. Whisk the egg whites with an electric mixer in a clean bowl until stiff, foamy peaks form
4. Add the yolk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined
5. Fold in the whisked whites gradually, lifting from the bottom up to keep the air bubbles
6. Heat the waffle iron, brush with a little butter and pour in enough batter
7. Close and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the waffle is deep golden and crisp
8. Transfer to a plate, top with fruit and chocolate spread and serve at once
